About our Executive Committee
We usually hold five meetings a year on Zoom and welcome any WILPF members who would like to attend. This makes sure that we keep our activism and campaigning up to date, fresh, active and agile. Small working groups are delegated to work on specific issues and tasks, consulting and reporting back regularly to the Executive Committee.
Every spring we hold our annual general meeting (AGM) where we elect our new Executive Committee members, review the past year and decide on a strategic plan for the year ahead. Our annual report is put together by the Executive Committee and circulated to all members before the AGM.
Join the WILPF UK Executive Committee
If you have been a member of WILPF for more than six months and would like to be more involved, you could become a member of our Executive Committee. Members can be nominated for election or co-opted onto the Committee throughout the year if there are vacancies.
Members of the Executive Committee are expected to contribute throughout the year and attend Executive meetings. Matters which will not wait until the next meeting are dealt with by email discussion, and Executive Committee members are expected to respond.
Meetings are currently held on Zoom, and any member who is interested can join any meeting, whether or not they are a member of the Executive Committee. Try it and see if it is for you!
