Sheila has been active in WILPF for over twenty years and a member of the UK WILPF Executive Committee for much of that time, including serving as President and Membership Secretary.
On behalf of UK WILPF, she made successful funding applications, organised seminars and stalls, and represented WILPF on networks such as No Trident Renewal and the Trade Justice Movement. Over the years she has been an active supporter of WILPF’s Voices of African Women Campaign.
Currently, she is on the WILPF Finance Group which supports the Treasurer, and Branch Representative for Orpington.
She is a member of Women in Black, CND, and Global Justice Now.

If you have been a member of WILPF for more than six months and would like to be more involved, you could become a member of our Executive Committee. Members can be nominated for election or co-opted onto the Committee throughout the year if there are vacancies.
Members of the Executive Committee are expected to contribute throughout the year and attend Executive meetings. Matters which will not wait until the next meeting are dealt with by email discussion, and Executive Committee members are expected to respond.
Meetings are currently held on Zoom, and any member who is interested can join any meeting, whether or not they are a member of the Executive Committee. Try it and see if it is for you!
