Around the world today in Russia, Ukraine, Israel and many other countries, people are refusing to fight in wars. They are often persecuted for their beliefs, imprisoned or forced to flee. They are known as ‘conscientious objectors’ [CO’s]. May we remember their brave stand, and we stand with them in solidarity.
Join WILPF Brighton Branch and others to hear some testimonies written by CO’s, some poetry written by refugee women living in the area and hear the roll call of names of many CO’s read out.
This event will be at The Friends Meeting House, Ship Street at 6.30pm. All welcome.
