UK WILPF is recognising Human Rights Day with a reminder to the UK government about its responsibilities under the UN General Assembly’s Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW).
Thirty-five years after the Convention was adopted, just imagine if discrimination against women had in fact been eliminated, and women did have the same opportunities as men – what a different place the world would be!
