DESCRIPTION:Join our webinar on Tuesday 2nd June at 7-8:30pm (UK time) with WILPF member\, Marie-Claire Faray\, to discuss building peace and security in the Sahel\, Horn and Great Lakes regions of Africa. Marie-Claire will raise the voices of millions of African women;  warning that wars\, extractivism (mineral grabs) and militarism are drowning out promises of peace and justice\, as well as exacerbating violence particularly against women (femicide); hence dehumanising and destroying the environment in Africa (ecocide). \nThere will be plenty of time for Q&A and meaningful discussion so please do come along! \nBiography:  Marie-Claire Faray\, is an activist and a Freelance Consultant on the contextualisation of the Women\, Peace and Security agenda in the DR Congo\, where she has established a Women Peace and Security centre for women.
