SUMMARY:Unseen Struggles: Addressing Violence Against Refugee Displaced Women and Girls
DESCRIPTION:WILPF Brighton and We Are The Tree diaspora women’s group are co-hosting this seminar to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. \nCountless women and girls are displaced every day. Often\, they have been used in a systematic way as weapons in war zones\, or they face unseen forms of violence – sexual\, physical\, emotional\, economic\, and social stigma. \nThis seminar brings together survivors\, advocates\, practitioners\, and community leaders to listen to the lived experience of local refugee women.
